Due to the relative stability of select real estate
investments, this sector has been a top category for
generating long term income such as for retirement and
or to fund college education. Many investors have
significant funds committed to relatively low yield IRA
and Keogh type accounts. Current tax laws permit the use
of IRA and Keogh assets to be used to invest in real
estate and many investors can significantly improve
anticipated future income streams through investing a
portion of such funds into select real estate assets.
For individual investors there can be added benefits
through tax savings due to the treatment of expenses,
gains, and rollovers under the current tax laws.
